The rain came in hard enough that I had to take cover under a lifeguard tower for a while — unprepared, waiting it out. When it eased I went back out and shot the horizon. No waves, flat water, the kind of frame you skip when culling. But the clouds had left something behind in the color that a second pass revealed. I brought it in, worked some motion blur, and let the mood find its shape.
